Richard W. Bourke

Founder and Principal Consultant of Bourke Consulting Associates.  His extensive consulting experience spans discrete, process, and repetitive manufacturing companies - both commercial and aerospace and defense - ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small firms.

Dick's clients benefit from the valuable perspective he has gained from his broad scope of consulting assignments and proven record of accomplishment in Information Technology-based engineering, manufacturing and distribution systems.  Among these systems are sales and product configuration, product lifecycle management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).  His assignments include diagnostic surveys, systems planning, software evaluation and selection, education, training, implementation, and interim management responsibilities.  He has assisted software firms in market planning and developing Executive Guides on the effective use of software tools.  Additionally, because of his expertise in configurator software, major law firms have sought his technical advice for patent infringement and litigation support.

Before establishing his firm - more than twenty-five years ago - he gained "real-world" perspective from a wide range of demanding responsibilities in materials management and Information Technology management, as well as industrial engineering and computer systems sales and support.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Masters of Business Administration from UCLA, and has been certified as a CPIM by APICS - The Association for Operations Management.
